FullTilt Poker.com hosted its weekly $750,000 Guarantee online poker tournament last Sunday, drawing a lot of well-knowns to the virtual tables to battle it out for the top prize of about $132k. In the end, it was “Steveee111” routing the field to claim the hefty purse.

The action got underway at 6:00 pm ET at FullTilt Poker as 3,225 players coughed up the $200+$16 buy-in, or won a seat via satellite entry, to converge on the $750k guaranteed tournament tables. A few more entries would have avoided the overlay, but Full Tilt.com was forced to toss in an addition $105k to cover the guaranteed prize pool.

As the play dwindled down to the final table, one notable online poker player to remain seated was “dubbeemin”, crowned the victor of FTOPS IX only a few weeks ago. Brian “dubbeemin” Mintz won the ninth Full Tilt Online Poker Series Main event for a whopping $432,400, then, this weekend, finished 5th in the $750k GTD for $31,050.

Soon to follow were “grabskia” in 4th and “Flip This Cup” in third, leaving “oldschool043” and “Steveee111” to campaign for 1st in heads-up play. Steveee111 would eventually outlast his opponent, pocketing $132,788 for the 1st place victory. $80,250 went to oldschool043 for the 2nd place finish.

Poker player “oldschool043” is certainly not new to the online poker tournament arena. Just two months ago, oldschool043 earned a 3rd place finish in a PokerStars online poker tournament, worth $7,318. Going further back to January of 2008, the same player was awarded $13,500 for a 1st place win on PokerStars.
