ZRP For US Players: Online Poker Without The Risk

Category: Gambling Website Reviews | Date: October 25th, 2007 | Written by Becki | 0 comments »

A new online poker room has recently launched claiming to take the risk out of online poker for US players. Befitting of the claims, the site is named ‘Zero Risk Poker‘. How did they make it legal and what’s in it for US poker players?

For starters, US players are never asked to fork over money. That’s right, no deposits are ever accepted from their members. Without risking a single penny, Players can win valuable prizes for participating in and winning multi-table tournaments.

ZeroRiskPoker.com has achieved this by creating the online poker room as a sponsor-based operation. Sponsors of the site will put up the prizes for each tournament. The type of company sponsoring the event will determine the products or services awarded. The online poker room currently boasts prizes ranging from magazine subscriptions and energy drinks to a complete home gym. (Yep – Bowflex is a sponsor!)

Since they can’t award cash bonuses in their promotions, they’ve taken an interesting route there as well. For instance, create your own Private Tournament with at least 10 players and Zero Risk Poker will put up the prize for it. Write blogs about the online poker room, and receive entry to a WSOP Freeroll. And how about the ‘Refer-A-Sponsor’ program? Sponsors can join for free, but if you refer them, you’ll be granted a prize package worth $250.

ZeroRiskPoker.com just launched on October 1, 2007, so it’s difficult to say at this point just how successful the site will become. However, with so many US players seeking a way to play online poker without the risk, this new site shows awesome potential.

Zero Risk Poker is a 100% legal environment for US players because they do not follow any of the legal guidelines that constitute gambling. For one, the player never risks anything, and two, no actual cash prizes are awarded.

The online poker room currently boasts 47 sponsors and a minimum of $25,000 in prizes up for grabs each month.
