You either know or have heard that $3/$6 table is more lucrative than most any other limit and this is mostly contributed to land base casinos where $3/$6 is the lowest you can sit at so that is where most start online.
Admittedly the scale is MUCH lower but the $.2/.4 tables are wild! Yea, this is surely due to the fact that this isn’t a lot of money so if you know a little about what your doing and trying, like I, to build from nothing. These tables fit the bill.
Tonight I found, or lets say he found me, my first maniac. I was looking at a $.5/.$10 table with my new found wealth but none were readily available, so I sat at this one and would keep an eye out for an opening. Lost my first $.40 cent buy-in on some awful hands hitting incredible outs and thought I would re buy and call it a night if things didn’t improve.
Hands held up a little and sitting about $.70 cent when this player sat and raised every hand and his $.40 was gone in less than 10 hands. I remember thinking, “Why can’t I get one hand!” then I could call it quits. Well it is one of those moments in poker I guess it is the same feeling no matter the limit….he re-bought for $5!
You guessed it – he got cleaned. It took a minute to get in a groove but then the cards started coming – he never stopped playing horrible and there was 4 of us at the table that never moved and each of us got a pretty good chunk.
So add $2 naysayers and put my tally at $7!
